Important Notice:

The room in which the components are installed must be clean and dry. Note that there are delicate

electronic components inside the PSR-8000, which could be destroyed by electrostatic discharge. For

this reason you should avoid touching the components contacts.

Important Notice: a qualified service technician should only do the installation of the USB-

Interface. We cannot be held responsible or liable for direct or indirect damages caused by

incorrect installation of the USB-Interface board.

Page 1 The room in which the components are installed must be clean and dry. Note that there are delicate electronic components inside the PSR-8000, which could be destroyed by electrostatic discharge. For this reason you should avoid touching the components contacts.
Page 2 1. Exchange of the Operating System: Turn your PSR-8000 Upside down. In the middle of the PSR-8000 you find the Simm Cover. Remove that cover. Now you see a printed circuit board in the near of the two Simm connectors holding the two Operating System Chips and the ROM Styles.
Page 3 After the installation a Initialisation is necessary. Make the following steps: 1. Press the Cis 2, F 2 und Gis 2 on the Keyboard and while pressing this keys switch the PSR-8000 on. The test menu appears. 2. Press the right Tempo switch again and again until 047: Factory Set is displayed.
