User Guide
ACN VoIP Service
Welcome to your new ACN VoIP Service
Your new ACN VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Service simply means that your new phone service is provided via a special
adaptor (called an Analogue Telephone Adaptor or ATA) which uses your broadband Internet service to make and receive
phone calls.
This User Guide details the steps required to set up and start using your new ACN VoIP service by installing the ACN VoIP
equipment we have sent you.
Your ACN VoIP Pack contains the following items:
Analogue Telephone
Adaptor (ATA)
Typical Modem/Router
Important Note:
Before attempting the setup of your new ACN VoIP Service you must ensure that you have a working broadband
(Internet) service and that ACN has completed the configuration of your new VoIP Service. ACN will confirm your
new ACN VoIP Service is ready by sending you an "ACN VoIP Phone Service is now active" message to the email
address you provided with your order.
Attempting the setup of your ACN VoIP service prior to receiving this email will fail. This is because the process of
allocating you a new telephone number, or porting an existing number (where requested) will not be complete.
