6. Installation Guide

Ø
Turn off the power supply
Ø
Take down the module panel on the Switch
Ø
Push module into Switch along the track smoothly
Ø
Screw the module on Switch
Ø
Plug fiber/UTP into the module, turn on the power supply of the
Switch. Without any configuration manually, the Gigabit Module
can work

7. Remarks

Ø
There are led indicators on the module to show the working
condition. as follows

TL-SM301 module support plug and play ,but must turn off power
supply before install/uninstall, TL-SM371 module support hot plug
and play.

TL-SM301GB don't work independently, it must be worked with

TL-SM371 series GBIC module.
Ø
TL-SM301 module only install in the TP-LINK Switch, do not install
this card in any other brand Switch.
Ø
At present. TL-SM301 module can be installed in TL-SL2226P,
TL-SL2226P+ and TL-SL3226P Switches only, we will give a
indication in the user's guide when a new type Switch could use
this card. See our web site for more details:
Warning
In order to avoid ESD, do not touch the parts on the circuit including IC's
pins with your hand directly!
