Circuit Analysis
The MT6589 visits the DDR in the MCP through the high-speed data bus EBI1. Both DDR 1
and DDR2 are supported. At the same time, the MT6589 can visit the eMMC through an
MMC data bus. The eMMC uses an 8-bit data line for data transmission.
Troubleshooting Process
You may hardly find a memory is faulty. When a memory is faulty, it may cause other failures.
Troubleshoot the failures according to the corresponding procedures. However, the memory
chip may have few changes to break down.

10.3 RF Subsystem

The RF subsystem can be divided into RF transceiver (MT6167), GSM PA, BAND1 PA,
BAND 8 PA, and 4-in-1 chip MT6628Q that includes the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM
modules. They are described in detail as follows:
The G700-U10 is a WCDMA smartphone based on the MTK platform MT6589+MT6167.
The MT6589's quad-core processor is the newest generation ARM Cortex-A7 core processor,
and its main frequency is 1.2 GHz. It supports Android 4.1. The MT6167 is the 2G/3G RF
transceiver. The chip SKY77590 includes the GSM PA and RF switch. The BAND1 PA is
SKY77761, and the BAND8 PA is ALT6658. The GSM 900 frequency shares the receive
channel with BAND8. The Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, and GPS modules are integrated in the
4-in-1 chip MT6628Q, which helps improve the integration level of the platform. Figure
10-15 shows the platform structure.
