Explanations
The TD2u checks select sec-
tors on the source disk
looking for non-blank data
patterns. If all of the
checked sectors appear to
be blank, the TD2u warns
that the source might be
blank. This does not mean
that the source is neces-
sarily blank, but it could
mean that the source has
been partially wiped or that
an ATA password has been
set for the source drive.
The TD2u checks select sec-
tors on the destination disk
looking for non-blank data
patterns. If the destination
disk is not blank, an unin-
tentional overwrite is pos-
sible. This warning provides
the opportunity to abort
the duplication.
