Note: The default SIM PIN is 0000. Change your PIN to prevent
fraudulent use of the SIM card. (See"Changing the PIN" on
page 94.)

Entering the PIN
To enter your PIN:
1.
Turn on your phone.
2.
When the Enter SIM PIN Code screen appears, enter your
SIM PIN.
3.
Press OK (right softkey). (SIM Unlocked is displayed.)
Important: If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times, your SIM card is
blocked. See "Unblocking the PIN" on page 95.
Changing the PIN
Note: The SIM PIN requirement must be turned on in order to
access this feature.
To change your PIN:

1.
Press > Settings > Security > Change Password > SIM PIN.
2.
Enter the current SIM PIN.
3.
Press OK (right softkey).
4.
Enter the new 4- to 8-digit SIM PIN.
5.
Press OK (right softkey).
6.
Reenter the new SIM PIN to confirm.
7.
Press OK (right softkey). (Changed: SIM PIN is displayed.)
