10.1 Valve Lock

Before transporting the tractor and Loader engage the loader valve travel
lock to prevent inadvertent contact with the joystick controller causing
sudden dropping of the loader and attachment. If the loader attachment,
such as a bucket, were to drop suddenly and hit the ground while
transporting, the tractor could stop immediately resulting in the operator
hitting the steering wheel or flying our of the operator's seat. Serious injury
could result.
To avoid injury from crushing, do not utilize the valve lock for machine maintenance or
repair. The valve lock is designed to prevent accidental actuation when the loader is not in
use or during transport.
The joystick controller is equipped with a valve lock
mechanism located on the rear of the joystick as
shown. This feature allows the control valve to be
locked during transport or when the loader is not in
use to prevent accidental actuation of the control
valve and loader cylinders.
To activate the lock, pull the lock lever rearward
toward the operator seat. To release the lock
mechanism, push the lock lever back into the joystick
controller.
The lock is not intended to and will not prevent leak
down of the loader hydraulics during storage.
