I have 3 Roche Coaguchek XS Plus meters that were used in the past with no known operator ID’s and I can’t get to the admin screens to set up for use. how do I do a factory reset on the units so I can set them up for use again?

    The doctor will also determine how often the patient needs blood testing. The system includes the CoaguChek XS Plus meter and CoaguChek XS PT test strips. Optional liquid CoaguChek XS Plus PT Controls are also available. The meter guides you through the test step by step using the symbols and instructions on the display.

    Introduction Test principle The CoaguChek XS PT Test, used as directed with the CoaguChek XS Plus Meter, will provide an electrochemical measurement of prothrombin time following activation of blood coagulation with human recombinant thromboplastin. In simple terms, blood works with the chemicals in the test strip to make a small electric current in the test strip that measures blood-clotting time.

    Caution: There is a potential risk of infection. Medical staff and other persons using the CoaguChek XS Plus Meter to perform tests on more than one patient must be aware that any object coming into contact with human blood is a potential source of infection.

    This ensures that you will not lose the date and time settings if the power goes out. To save power, the CoaguChek XS Plus meter has the option to automatically turn itself off based on your setup selections, unless a screen prompt has been pressed or a new test strip has been inserted.

    Meter setup Auto off You can set up your CoaguChek XS Plus meter so that it turns itself off automatically if it has not been used (no buttons pressed or tests run) for a period of time you select. Use this feature to save power and extend the life of the batteries.

    Meter setup Computer Your CoaguChek XS Plus meter can connect with a computer via an infrared interface using optional base unit. Using a computer, you can set up operator or patient lists, for example, or you can transfer test results stored in the meter to a PC for further evaluation. Using this computer capability requires software.

    It is not necessary for Administrator identification to be activated to use the CoaguChek XS Plus meter. However, it can be desired or necessary, depending on the environment and site of use.

    Meter setup Operator (only available with optional software) To specify operators, an operator list must be created on the PC and downloaded into the meter using software. In the default setting, the meter is not set up for use with Operator ID numbers.
