Helpful Hints

Before you use your Brewer for the first time, perform an initial cleansing
brew by running water through the brew cycle without using a beverage
capsule.
Your Brewer is equipped with a programmable chip that allows you to
select up to 3 groupings of cup sizes. See the section "Programming the
Cup Size Buttons" in this manual for more information.
To ensure the purest tasting brew we recommend using filtered or bottled
water. Chlorine and minerals can negatively affect the taste of your
brewed beverage.
Your Brewer is compatible with K-Cups®. If using a powdered K-Cup®
such as hot cocoa, run water through the Brewer without a capsule in
place after the beverage is finished to clean the Brewer Head Needle.
A clean coffeemaker is essential for making great-tasting coffee.
Regularly clean the coffeemaker as specified in the Care & Cleaning
section.
Do not use a beverage capsule for more than one brewing cycle.

Care & Cleaning
Never immerse the Brewer or Power Cord in water or any other liquid. To
clean the Housing use a damp, soapy, non-abrasive cloth or sponge.
There are no dishwasher-safe parts included with you Brewer.
Two Piece Drip Tray
To remove, place finger in the hole of the Drip Tray and lift straight up. Slide
bottom section out from the Brewer and use a damp, soapy, non-abrasive
cloth or sponge.
Capsule Holder/Funnel
Use caution when cleaning the Capsule Holder as there is a sharp needle in
the bottom. The capsule has two parts, the Capsule Holder and the Funnel.
To remove the Capsule Holder from the coffeemaker, rotate the Capsule
Holder counterclockwise until it clicks then lift straight up (see Lock/Unlock
graphics on top of Capsule Holder in figure 5).
To separate the Funnel from the Capsule Holder, turn it upside down and
notice the Lock/Unlock graphics on the bottom of the Funnel. Twist the
Funnel in the direction of the unlock graphic to remove. We recommend
immersing both parts in warm, soapy water and rinsing clean.
To replace, put the Funnel back onto the Capsule Holder until the two parts
are flush, then twist to the lock position until it clicks into place. Place the
Capsule Holder back into the machine by lining up the Locking Tabs on the
Capsule Holder (see figure 5) with the receptacles in the Brewer Head and
rotate clockwise until it clicks into place (see locking graphics in figure 5).
Water Reservoir and Lid
Wash the Water Reservoir and Lid with a damp, soapy, non-abrasive cloth
or sponge then rinse thoroughly to remove all soap. It is important to
ensure that no pieces of lint, sponge or any other material are in your Water
Reservoir once fully rinsed. Any particles left in the Water Reservoir could
cause permanent damage to the Brewer.
