on page 29 to check these levels.
Checking the Battery Electrolyte
Level
Check the battery electrolyte level before
use. See Checking the Battery Electrolyte

Checking the Alarm Indicators

Check the instruments and alarm indicators
at regular intervals.
Preparing Fuel, Oil and Coolant in
Reserve
Prepare sufficient fuel for the day's
operation. Always store engine oil and
coolant in reserve (for at least one refill) on
board, to be ready for emergencies.

Draining the Fuel / Water
Separator
Check the fuel filter / water separator for
presence of water and contaminants. If you
find any water or contaminants, drain the
fuel filter / water separator. If you have to
drain the fuel filter / water separator
frequently, drain the fuel tank and check for
water in your fuel supply. See Draining the
Fuel Tank on page 51.
1. Turn engine OFF.
