Troubleshooting (continued)
Problem
The air receiver pressure
drops when the compressor
shuts off.
There is excessive moisture in
the air discharge.
Air is leaking from the
compressor.
The compressor runs
continuously.
The compressor vibrates.
The air output is lower than
normal.
Possible Cause
The connections are loose or
leaking (fittings, tubing, etc.).
The drain valve is loose.
The check valve is leaking.
There is excessive water in the air
tank.
The humidity is high.
The hose connection is loose or
improperly sealed.
The air hose is broken or
damaged.
The tank drain valve is open.
The pressure switch is defective.
The usage is excessive.
The compressor mounting bolts
are loose.
The inlet valves are broken.
The connections are leaking.
Solution
Check all the connections with soapy water and
look for bubbles. Thread sealing tape should be
used on all threaded connections. Tighten any
loose connections until the leak stops.
Tighten the drain valve.
Take the compressor to a authorized service
center.
DANGER: Do not disassemble the check
valve while air is in tank - empty the all
the air out of the tank before disassembly.
Drain the tank to remove water.
Move the compressor to an area of less humidity
or use an air line filter to reduce moisture
discharge in the tank.
Ensure connections are sealed with thread
sealing tape and tightened.
Replace the air hose.
Ensure the tank drain valve is closed.
Take the compressor to an authorized service
center.
Decrease the amount of tool run-time; the
compressor is not large enough to supply the air
requirement of the tool.
Tighten any loose bolts on the compressor mount.
Take the compressor to an authorized service
center.
Apply thread sealing tape to threaded connections
and tighten.
