TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
Safety interlock system is not
engaged or is faulty.
Fuel tanks empty.
Fuel shut-off valve closed.
Discharged battery.
Poor connection between battery and
battery cables.
Spark plug wire(s) loose or spark
plug(s) faulty.
Faulty electrical system.
Faulty engine.
Choke engaged.
Air filter cartridge plugged.
Faulty engine.
The transmission bypass lever is
engaged.
Faulty hydrostatic belt.
Faulty transmission.
Operator presence switch not
depressed.
Faulty operator presence switch.
Electric clutch connector is loose or
disconnected.
Faulty PTO belt.
Electric clutch out of adjustment.
Faulty PTO switch, wires, connectors,
or clutch.
Engine oil level low.
Cooling system plugged.
Faulty engine.
The parking brake needs adjustment.

1. Check safety interlock system (see

2. Fill fuel tanks (see Filling The Fuel
Tanks on page 11).
Open fuel shut-off valve.

5. Tighten battery cables and/or clean
battery and battery cables (see
