TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) DIAGNOSIS
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus
lines.
Use scan tool to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Q: Is the check result normal?
STEP 2. DTC recheck after resetting CAN bus lines
Recheck if DTC C1915, C1925, C1935 or C1945 is set.
(1) Turn the ignition switch (engine starting switch) from the

YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C 
CAN Bus Diagnostics Table P.54C-11). On
completion, go to Step 2.

NO : The procedure is complete.

YES : Replace the TPMS transmitter (Refer to P.31-47) of
all the four wheels, and register ID codes (Refer to
P.31-42). Then go to Step 4.
NO : Register the ID codes (Refer to P.31-42). Then go to
Step 4.

YES : Replace the ETACS-ECU <Vehicles without Keyless
Operation System> (Refer to GROUP 54A ETACS
P.54A-260) or KOS&OSS-ECU <Vehicles with
Keyless Operation System> (Refer to GROUP 42B,
KOS&OSS-ECU P.42B-132), and register the ID
codes (Refer to P.31-42). Then start over at Step 1.
NO : The procedure is complete.
