Taking pictures with Manual Focus

Recording mode:
Manual Focus is convenient when you want to lock the focus to take pictures or when it is
difficult to adjust focus using Auto Focus.

Set the focus mode lever to [MF]

position, and press [MENU/SET]
• The screen changes to the assist screen and an
enlarged display appears. (MF Assist)
You can move the enlarged part by dragging the
screen.
• You can also enlarge the area by performing one of
the following operations:
– Rotating the focus ring
– Moving the focus lever
– Pinching out or touching the screen twice
• To return the focus position to the centre, press [DISP.] button.

Adjust the focus
The operations used to focus differ depending on the lens.
When using an interchangeable lens (H-FS12032) with no focus ring
Press
: Focuses on nearby subject
Press
: Focuses on distant subject
Slide bar
• These operations are possible only on the focus
adjustment screen.
• Pressing and holding
speed.
• Focus can also be adjusted by dragging the slide
bar.
