2.2 Method of Operation of the Heating System
Optimum interplay of the individual
components of the heating system is
required in order to generate the right
amount of heat needed to cover the heating
requirements at all times and in all weather
conditions; the boiler and the heat
distribution system (radiators, domestic hot
water tank, pipes etc.) must be correctly
matched to each other. To control this
system, your Viessmann boiler is equipped
with the Dekamatik digital indoor/outdoor
boiler and heating system control.

temperature to various changing conditions
(e.g. the outdoor temperature or a higher

domestic hot water tank, if installed).
Domestic hot water priority is feasible.
The Dekamatik possesses an integrated
diagnostic system which can recognize and
indicate any malfunctions.
The initial start-up must be conducted by
the heating contractor.
H Activate main power to system.
H Activate Dekamatik-M1:
Switch "
" to "I".
On multi-boiler systems also switch on the
control units of the follow-up boilers.
