AXIS 250S User's Manual

Access from a browser

The video stream and the setup tools in the AXIS 250S can be accessed using Microsoft
Internet Explorer 5.5 on Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Follow the instructions below to access your images:
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Enter the name or IP address of the AXIS 250S into the Address bar:

The Live View page, similar to the example shown below, is now displayed.
Note:
To enable the viewing of the MPEG-2 video stream in Microsoft Internet Explorer, you must set
your browser to allow signed ActiveX controls and install the AXIS 250S MPEG-2 Viewer onto
your workstation. This will be performed automatically the first time the server is accessed.

The Live View Page

The page available to all user levels when accessing the AXIS 250S MPEG-2 Video Server is
known as the Live View page. This page shows the server's basic application, that is, a live
MPEG-2 video stream from the connected camera. If there is a Pan/Tilt/Zoom device
connected and configured, it will be possible to control it from this page. The Live View
page can be viewed simultaneously by up to 3 clients.
