In this system, ground water is used as a source of
heat. When using ground water, the water is pumped
4
4
out of an intake well, cooled in the evaporator and
supplied via an injection well back to the ground
5
5
water. Whilst doing so, it must be ensured that the
injection well is located in the ground water direction
of fl ow after the intake well.
6
The heat exchange between the water and the refrig-
7
erant takes place in the evaporator (stainless steel
plate heat exchanger).
8
During this process, in order to protect the evaporator,
there must be a minimum temperature limit as well as
9
the installation and connection of a fl ow switch.
10
The fl exible connection hoses provided must be
installed to prevent the transmission of noise. The
ground water lines must be set up on-site.
11
Notes
12
In the event of increased solids content in the well
water (sand, sludge), the corresponding sedimenta-
13
tion basin must be provided to prevent blocking the
evaporator (possibly safety heat exchanger).
- Ensure that the inlet and outlet lines are laid as
frost-proof, with an incline to the well.
- The lines in the house must be insulated against the
formation of condensation.
- From the intake well up to the heat pump, a protec-
tion pipe is also required with an electric line for the
well pump.
- Ensure that the well cover is light and airtight to
prevent the formation of algae and sludge accumu-
lation.
- A submersible pump is recommended as the well
pump.
- After being set up, the well should be rinsed for ap-
prox. 48 hours.

Water inlet temperature: at least + 7 °C
(Danger of icing up)
Ground water quality:
The following values must be observed:
- ph-value:
- Chloride:
- Sulphates:
- Nitrates:
- Manganese:
- Free carbon dioxide:
- Ammonia:
- Iron:
- Free Chloride:
- Electrical conductivity :
- Oxygen
* * If these limit values are exceeded, this could cause
sludge to build up on the evaporator and the inlet
lines, as well as obstructing the injection well
In order to verify the water temperature, and the water
volume and quality, a test well and a pump trial is rec-
ommended over 48 hours. The test should preferably
be carried out at the end of February.
