NTP Protocol

The SPX5 can be configured to use an external NTP server to synchronize Date and Time. Figure 27
shows the configuration screen of the NTP Client Protocol.
These are the parameters that must be configured for the NTP Client Protocol:
NTP Server Address: This corresponds to the IP Address of the Main NTP server. In normal
operation, the Date and Time will be requested from this server and updated internally.
Backup NTP Server Address: This is the IP Address of an NTP Server to be used as a backup in case
the main NTP Server stops responding to the date and time requests. If no Backup Server is available
use the same IP Server of the Main NTP Server in this parameter.
Time Zone Hour Offset and Time Zone Minute Offset: These parameters correspond to the offset
from GWT time for the location where the gateway is installed.
Request Interval: How frequently (in minutes) the time will be updated from the server.
