PARKING BRAKE
Every 6,000 miles - Apply lubricant specifled in

to pulley bearing area, park-
ing brake cable, cable guides and at all
operating links and levers.
BRAKES
Lining
Have brake linings inspected periodically. lining wear
will depend on traffic, terrain and the driving
habits of the driver. It is recommended, however,
that brake linings be inspected at least after the
first 12,000 miles and every 6,000 miles there-
after.
Main Cylinder
Every 6,000 miles-Check fluid level and maintain
1f.4"
below filler opening with G. M. Hydraulic
Brake Fluid, Super No. 11.
AIR CONDITIONING
After the first 6,000 miles-have your Chevrolet
Dealer check the tightness of all hose clamp
connections.
Every 6,000 miles-Check sight glass under the hood,

after the system has been in operation for sev-
eral minutes. Sight glass should be clear. Bubbles
or dirt visible at all times indicate a leak which
should be repaired immediately by your Chev-
rolet dealer.
Every Week-during winter months-run the system
for
5
minutes to insure proper lubrication of the
seals and moving parts.
HEADLAMP AIMING
Periodic headlamp checks and proper aiming and
adjustment are strongly recommended. Your Chevrolet
Dealer is equipped and trained to properly service your
headlamps.
ENGINE TUNE-UP
Every 12,000 miles have engine tune-up operations
performed to maintain maximum engine perform-
ance and fuel economy.
NOTE 1: Lubricate with water resistant EP lubricant.
NOTE 2: Use SAE 80
or
SAE 80-90 Multi-purpose
Gear Lubricant meeting requirements of
U. S. Ordnance Spec. MIL-L-210SB.
