Water drainage

The suds are drained through a drain
pump with a 3.2 ft (1 m) delivery head.
For the water to drain freely, the hose
must be installed free of kinks.
If required, the hose can be extended to
a length of up to 16.4 ft (5 m).
Accessories are available from your
Miele dealer or the Miele Technical
Service.
Drainage options:
1. Directly into a sink: Lay the hose
around the edge of the sink and
secure the drain hose so that it does
not slip (e.g., by securing the drain
hose to the faucet).
2. In a standpipe: Insert the drain hose
into standpipe with dimensions of
1½" (Ø 4 cm). Secure the drain hose
carefully to make sure it cannot slip.
3. In a floor drain: The washing machine
is designed with a gap (anti-siphon
system) which means that a
minimum drain height is not required.
