Troubleshooting

IMPORTANT
For technical help, you must call the country where you bought the cordless handset. Calls must
be made from within that country.
If you think there is a problem with your cordless handset, check the chart below and follow the
troubleshooting tips.
Most problems can be easily resolved by yourself. If you need additional help, the Brother

If you are having difficulty with your cordless handset
Difficulties
The cordless handset does not
operate.
Dialing or receiving does not work.
Bad phone line connection
The battery does not charge.
The battery performance is still
poor after recharging.

Suggestions
Check that the battery is charged properly. (See Charging the
battery on page 21.)
Check that the phone line connection of the machine (base unit).
Check that the machine (base unit) is plugged in and switched on.
Check that the battery is charged properly. (See Charging the
battery on page 21.)
Come closer to the machine (base unit). The cordless handset may be too far from
the machine (base unit).
Check that there are no electronic devices between the machine (base unit) and
the cordless handset.

During the conversation, try to adjust the angle of the antenna to the appropriate
position.
Try to change the Voice Enhance setting to On. (See Voice Enhance on page 18.)
