Notes:
• To play another music CD, stop the current CD and remove it from the drive, then repeat from step 5.
• Do not disconnect the optical drives or USB-DAC while playing music tracks.
• While playing music tracks using CD Transport, the music files on the N1 cannot be played by another Network
Audio Player.
Operation While Playing a Music CD
You can work with the following operations using buttons on the N1.
• Playback will be stopped by pressing the Back button (
• Playback will be suspended or resumed by pressing the Menu/Enter button (
• The next track will be played by pressing the Up button (
• The previous track will be played by pressing the Down button (
• Playback will switch to repeat and shuffle by pressing the Up button (
the button is pressed once, playback will switch to repeat. When the button is pressed twice, playback will switch
to shuffle. When the button is pressed three times, playback will switch to both repeat and shuffle. When the
button is pressed four times, playback will revert to normal.
• The display panel will switch to the song time passed or remaining time by pressing the Down button (
while playback is suspended.

Backing Up and Restoring

Backup Operations
With this operation, both music files and settings are backed up. Backed up music files can be restored if the files are
deleted.
Backup operations will vary depending on the file system of the connected USB device. Differences between backup
modes are below:

Notes:
• Use only the compatible USB devices listed on melco-audio.com.
• The data will be kept even if the USB device already contain the backup data in it and a backup job runs.
