- Page 3 Auto-Connect to perform special functions: 1) RING DELAY FUNCTION (refer to page 5) Auto-Connect provides a facility where an incoming call can be directed to the ACCESSORY DEVICE after a user selectable number of rings (4, 6 or 8 rings), if the call is not answered by the PRIMARY DEVICE.
- Page 4 1. UNPLUG all equipment from the telephone socket to be used. 2. REMOVE the telephone line cords that are fitted to the DEVICES which need to be connected to your AUTO-CONNECT (ie unplug the telephone cables connected to your devices where the new style modular plug connects to your device).
- Page 5 RING DELAY OPTION Auto-Connect has a facility where an incoming call can be directed to the ACCESSORY DEVICE after a user selectable number of rings (4, 6 or 8 rings), if the call is not answered by the PRIMARY DEVICE.
- Page 6 EFT-POS OPERATION Auto-Connect has a special facility which will allow an EFT-POS device to be shared with any other device on an existing telephone line. An EXCLUSION FACILITY is provided to ensure that the two attached devices can not interfere with each other. This means that if one device is in operation, the other device will not be able to access the telephone line (‘Barge-In’).
- Page 7 MULTIPLE NUMBER SWITCHING Auto-Connect has the ability to operate with the new Telstra Multiple Number service, where a second telephone number can be used on the same telephone line. It will analyse the FIRST INCOMING RING for all calls and connect the incoming call only to those telephones that are required to RING.
