1. From the Home screen, swipe up and then tap Settings Accessibility.
2. Tap TalkBack, and then tap Settings Text-to-speech settings.

Teletypewriter (TTY) mode

TTY mode allows people who have hearing or speech impediments to communicate by telephone.
HTC 10 is compatible with select TTY phones. Contact your TTY phone manufacturer to see if the
phone supports digital wireless transmission. HTC 10 and the TTY phone connect using a special
cable that may come with the TTY phone. If this cable was not provided with your TTY phone,
contact your TTY phone manufacturer to purchase the connector cable.
Most TTY phones connect via a 2.5 mm headset jack adapter. HTC provides a 2.5 mm headset jack
adapter that connects to the USB Type-C port on HTC 10. To request this adapter, contact HTC by
chat or email at htc.com/us/support.
Turning TTY mode on
1. Connect the TTY phone cable plug to the HTC 10 headset jack.
2. From the Home screen, swipe up and then tap Settings Call.
3. Tap TTY mode.
When turned on, TTY mode may impair the audio quality of non-TTY phones connected to the
headset jack.
Do this
Tap Language, and then select your preferred language on the list.
Tap
next to Preferred engine, and then tap Install voice data. Tap
the language you want to install, and then tap
completed, press
to go back to the Text-to-speech settings screen
and tap Language.
