<COMMON FUNCTIONS>
Power On, Lowering the
Transducer
1. Press the POWER switch until you hear a
"click".
2. Hit the [
] switch to lower the transducer,
when at the fishing ground.
Power Off, Raising the Transducer
1. Retract the transducer with the [↑] switch,
with the speed under 15 knots.
2. Press the POWER switch to turn off the
power.
Suppressing Interference
1. Press the MENU key to open the menu.
2. Choose MENU and then choose COM1.
3. Choose INT REJECT and press

to choose frequency.
5. Press the MENU key to close the menu.
Adjusting TVG
1. Press the MENU key to open the menu.
2. Choose MENU and then choose HORZ,
VERT or ES depending on mode in use.

Erasing Weak Echoes

Entering an Event Marker
Press the EVENT key to inscribe an event mark-
er.
Finding Horizontal Range and
Depth to a Location*
Use the Omnipad to place the cursor on a loca-
tion (for example, fish school) and then press the
R/B key. * Only range in ES mode.
Suppressing Bottom and
Surface Reflections
1. Press the MENU key to open the menu.
2. Choose MENU and then choose COM1.
3. Choose TX POWER and press
4. Choose MIN.
5. Press the MENU key to close the menu.
Removing Low Intensity Noise
1. Press the MENU key to open the menu.
2. Choose MENU and then choose HORZ,
VERT or ES depending on mode in use.

Typical Operating Sequence

quency as appropriate.
4. Operate the GAIN control to adjust sensitiv-
ity.
5. Use the RANGE control to choose a range.
6. Operate the SECTOR control to set width of

7. Use the TRAIN control to choose train center.
8. Operate the TILT control to set tilt angle.
9. Retract the transducer and turn off the power.
Enlarging Fish Echoes
Turn on the horizontal expansion display by
