Specification
The
only
way
to
store
information
on
a
diskette
is
to
put
it
in a
disk
file.
Afterwards,
that
information
can be
retrieved via the
file
name
you gave
the
file
when
you
created or
renamed
it.
A
file
specification
has
the
general form:
filename
ext.
password
:d
filename
consists
of
a
letter
followed by up
to
seven
optional
letters
or
numbers.
ext
is
an
optional
name-extension:
ext

sequence
of
up
to
three
letters
or
numbers,
starting
with
a
letter.
password
is
an
optional
password;
password

to
eight
letters or
numbers,
starting
with
