Page 2 PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW ® The Dust Free Series 400 and 500 systems were designed to meet the needs of people who are adversely affected by indoor airborne pollutants. Tobacco smoke, dust, pollen, mold, odors, and chemicals exist in various environments and each require a specific filtration process to provide the needed air quality.
Page 3 The ® Dust Free air cleaners employ a three-stage filtering process to remove a wide variety of contaminants from the air. First, the prefilter removes larger particles that are easily captured.

MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER The pre-filter should be cleaned every 30 to 60 days, depending on the environment. 1. Remove the pre-filter from the unit by grasping the filter and pulling it away from the unit. 2. Clean away lint buildup by shaking or vacuuming the filter. 3.
