t r o l s t h e a m o u n t o f i n c o m i n g l i g h t . T h e C a n o n F T b u s e s

proper exposures.
S h u t t e r S p e e d D i a l
Adjust the shutter speed by turning the shutter speed dial
t o t h e d e s i r e d i n d e x n u m b e r . T h e i n d e x o n t h e d i a l s h o w s
t h e d e n o m i n a t o r s o f 1 / 1 O O O s e c . , 1 / 5 O O s e c . , e t c .
r The shutter speed dial does not revolve between indexes
" l O O O " a n d " 8 " .
r B e s u r e t o s e t t h e i n d e x a t a p o s i t i o n w h e r e t h e c l i c k '
s t o p c a t c h e s . I n c a s e o f " B " i n d e x , a d j u s t i t t o t h e w h i t e
d o t j u s t b e l o w t h e " B " i n d e x .
I " B " i n d i c a t e s b u l b e x p o s u r e , a n d i s u s e d w h e n m a k i n g
exposures of more than one second. When the shutter
s p e e d d i a l i s s e t a t " 8 " , t h e s h u t t e r r e m a i n s o p e n a s l o n g
as the shutter release button is pressed.
r When time exposure is necessary to make an exposure
over an extended time, first set the shutter speed dial at
" B ".
Keep the shutter release button pressed, and turn
t h e t i m e l o c k l e v e r t o " L " .
T h e s h u t t e r r e m a i n s o p e n
even if the finger is removed from the button. When the
lever is returned to "A", the shutter closes.
