The Equation Library
The equation library is a list of equations that are permanently stored
in the HP-22S; dearing equations or all of memory does not affect the
library.
Doing Calculations With Library Equations
To use a library equation:
1. Select the equation by displaying it: press

.~, if necessary, to roll through the library list. You can use
{ .... } (the

key) to see the rest of equations longer than 12
characters.
2. Evaluate or solve the equation:
• Use

to evaluate the equation for a variable that is by
itself on the left side of the equation. (The ideal gas law, thin
lens, radioactive decay, and TVM equations cannot be evalu-
ated.) If necessary see IInstructions for Using

solve the equation for any variable. If neces-
