Active Speed Limiter (ASL)
Setting an upper speed limit
Active Speed Limiter (ASL)
WARNING: It is the driver's
responsibility to keep within proper
speed limits.
WARNING: The ASL feature may
allow the vehicle to exceed the
upper speed limit in certain
situations, for example when
descending steep gradients.
NOTE: ASL can be activated when the
vehicle is stationary. The upper speed
limit will be set to a default speed of
20 mph (30 kph).
The ASL control allows the driver to set an
upper speed limit.
Selecting a speed
1. Press the button on the end of the
cruise control stalk, to select ASL mode.
2. Accelerate or decelerate the vehicle to
the maximum permitted speed.
3. Push the stalk up briefly to select the
desired ASL upper speed limit.
4. The upper speed limit appears on the
instrument cluster.
NOTE: The ASL can be overridden by
depressing the throttle beyond a
predetermined point.
