steel wool. After cleaning, rinse the shelves with
clean water and dry with a clean cloth.
Lift-up Cooktop
(on models with
standard twin burners)
Clean the
area
under the cooktop often. Built-up soil,
especially grease, may catch on fire.
To make cleaning easier, the cooktop may be
lifted up.
To raise the cooktop:
1. Be sure the burners are turned off.
2. Remove the grates.
3. Grasp the two front burner wells and lift up.
Some models have dual support rods that will hold the
cooktop up while you clean underneath it.
After cleaning under the cooktop
with ho~
soapy water and a clean cloth, lower the cooktop.
Be carefil not to pinch your fingers. Lower the
cooktop gently to avoid blowing out pilot flames (on

Oven Air Vents
Never block the vents (air openings) of the range.
They provide the air inlet and outlet that are
necessary for the range to operate properly with
correct combustion. Air openings are located at the
rear of the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven
door, and at the bottom of the ,range, under the kick
panel, storage drawer or broiler drawer (depending on
the model).
