    CAUTION: Either an exterior blower or in-line blower may be used with this hood. The IEX42 hood must be installed with blower models EB6, EB9, EB12, EB15, ILB3, ILB6, ILB9, or ILB11 only. Other Blowers cannot be substituted (Blowers sold separately).

    INSTALL SUPPORT SYSTEM DRYWALL CROSS FRAMING 1. At hood location, install 2 X 4 cross framing ” between ceiling joists using dimensions shown. 2. Finish the ceiling surface. Be sure to mark the location of the ceiling joists and cross framing.

    CONNECT DECORATIVE FLUE MOUNTING SCREWS (3.9X9.5MM) 1. Secure the upper flue to the upper support frame with mounting screws (3,9x9,5mm). 2. Insert the lower flue moving it completely towards the top and fix it temporarily with retaining screw (3.9x9.5mm). UPPER FLUE INSERT THE LOWER FLUE RETAINING SCREW...
  • Page 9 MOUNT HOOD TO SUPPORT ELECTRICAL BOX FRAME 1. Before mount hood to support frame remove the electrical box. 2. Mount hood to support frame. 3. Insert four (4) bolts through the top of the hood - from the inside. 4. Use four (4) nuts and four (4) washers (Ø6,4mm) to secure hood to support frame as shown.

    CONNECT DUCTWORK LOWER FLUE 1. Use 8" round metal duct to connect the RETAINING discharge collar on the hood to the ductwork SCREWS above. 2. Use duct tape to make all joints secure and air tight. 3. Remove the two temporary retaining screws from the lower flue and set it in place on the hood.

    MAINTENANCE Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will assure proper performance of the unit. Grease Filters The grease filters should be cleaned fre- quently. Use a warm detergent solution. Grease filters are dishwasher safe. GREASE FILTERS Remove filters by pushing filters towards the back of hood and rotating filters downward.

    OPERATION Controls BLOWER LIGHT The hood is operated using the slide controls ON / OFF SWITCH BLOWER under the front edge of the hood. SWITCH SPEED The light switch turns the halogen lights on CONTROL and off. The blower on / off switch turns the blower on to the running speed set by the blower speed control.
