Logging mobile units onto a telephone system

For information on setting the language, see page 54.
Your system administrator supplies you with mobile units
that have already been logged on when you are installing
the system for the first time. You must log on any new
mobile units as described below if you extend the system.
Please call Siemens Service if you purchased the mobile
unit directly from Siemens. Please call your retailer if
you did not purchase your mobile unit directly from Sie-
mens. Please ask Siemens Service or your retailer to pro-
vide you with the call number and the system code (eight-
digit) of every mobile unit and to open the "logon window"
(e.g. 10 minutes).

Logging a mobile unit onto Hicom 150 E:
Switch the mobile unit on with the On/

Activating/deactivating mobile units

Off status: display clear – calls are not received!
 
On status: e.g.
is displayed – prerequisite for
all telephone functions, normal operating status!

Activating the mobile unit:
Press the On/Off key – you hear the
confirmation beep.
Display when telephone is in the "on"
status, see page 10.

Deactivating the mobile unit:
Press the On/Off key until the display
is clear – you hear the confirmation
beep .

Activating/deactivating the keypad lock

This allows you to protect your mobile unit against inad-
vertent key activation, e.g. when carrying it in your bag.
Calls are signalled even if the keypad is locked and can be
answered in the same way as when the telephone is on.
Prerequisite: Mobile unit is activated!

Activating the keypad lock:
Press the On/Off key for less than
1 second.
 
Display when keypad is locked.

Deactivating the keypad lock:
Press the On-Off key briefly.
Display when telephone is "on", see
page 10.
Note:
The mobile unit switches off completely if you press the
On/Off key for too long.
