Always operate the Niftylift in accordance with the manufacturers full Operating & Safety Instructions
supplied with each model.

DAILY SAFETY CHECKS

1)
Labels & Manuals: Check all labels, placards and Operating & Safety manual (located in the box within the platform) are in place and legible.
2)
Structure: Check there are no loose, missing, damaged or malfunctioning components including but not limited to: chassis, booms,
platform, platform gate (free to close under gravity), all welds, guards, covers, boom clamps, brakes, wheels, tyres and outriggers /
stabilisers (if applicable). Ensure that platform is free from debris, grease or oil that could cause slipping or tripping hazards.
3)
Warnings & Switches: Check there are no loose, missing, damaged or malfunctioning components including but not limited to: platform
load sensor, tilt sensor and / or alarm horn, foot pedal, high engine and / or high drive limit switches, micro switches, lights and beacons.
4)
Controls: Check all operating, emergency and manual descent controls function correctly – select an area free from obstructions and
hazards, and exercise extreme caution.
5)
Hoses & Wiring: Check there is no damage to or leaks from hydraulic, fuel and air systems, electrical cables and wiring.
6)
Power Systems: Check batteries, engine oil and coolant (if applicable) for condition, cleanliness, connections and correct fluid levels.
7)
Personal Protective Equipment: Check that full body safety harnesses, short lanyards, and hard hats are in good condition and fit for
purpose.

GROUND/PLATFORM CONTROLS

1)
Check below, above and around the platform for any obstruction or hazards before operating any function.
2)
Ensure all red emergency stops are out.
3)
Ground:
(i) Turn the key switch at the ground control station to ground (i.e. fully down).
(ii) Ensure function selector hand valve is turned to Ground position (i.e. fully down).
4)
Platform: (i) Turn the key switch at the ground control station to Platform (i.e. fully up).
(ii) Ensure function selector hand valve is turned to Platform position (i.e. fully up).
5)
Push and hold green power button.
6)
Select the boom function required and operate hand levers in full accordance with manufacturers Operating and Safety manual.
7)
When not in use return machine to stowed position. Turn key switch at ground control to centre off position, remove key and chock wheels.

DRIVING CONTROLS

DO NOT OPERATE THE NIFTYLIFT WHILST ELEVATED UNLESS ON A FIRM, LEVEL SURFACE FREE FROM ANY POSSIBLE OBSTRUCTIONS
OR HAZARDS BOTH AT GROUND LEVEL AND OVERHEAD.
1)
Check proposed route for possible hazards, obstructions and personnel.
2)
Push green power button or depress foot switch located in platform floor (if applicable).
3)
Use the Drive Speed selector on the platform control station to determine speed.
High Drive (Hare) - GIVES HIGH SPEED AND LOW GRADEABILITY.
Low Drive (Tortoise) - GIVES LOW SPEED AND HIGH GRADEABILITY.
N.B. High Drive is only available when the booms are in the stowed position. The HR12 will default to Low Drive speed whenever the booms
are elevated.
