Security precautions – NGM devices
Before using the device, in order to avoid harm to oneself or to compromise
the good functioning of the NGM device, read the following and keep this
information-sheet for future consultations
Attention: prevent electrical shocks, fire and explosions.
•
Do not use damaged charging cables or plugs
•
Do not touch the charging cable with wet hands and do not unplug
the charger by pulling at the cable
•
Do not knick or damage the charging cable
•
Avoid possibly to use the device during charging and do not touch the
device with wet or moist hands
•
Do not short circuit the charger or the battery
•
Do not drop or knock the charger or the battery
•
Do not charge the battery with a charger not approved by the producer
•
Do not use the device during a thunderstorm The device could not
work properly and the risk of fulguration is higher
Do not use a damaged or leaking lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery. Contact an
authorized service center to dispose securely and ecologically the lithium
ion batteries. Disposal and care of battery and charger
•
Only use chargers and batteries approved by NGM and projected for
the device Not compatible batteries and chargers can cause serious
harm or damage to the device
•
Never dispose of batteries by throwing them into fire! Follow the local
rules to dispose of batteries and devices
•
Never place batteries or devices into or onto heating devices such
as microwave ovens, ovens or radiators Overheated batteries risk
to explode!
•
Never squeeze or perforate the battery Avoid exposing the battery
to high external pressures, that can cause internal short circuits and
overheating
Protect the device, batteries and chargers from damage
•
Do not expose the device or the batteries to extremely high or low
temperatures These temperatures can deform components of the
device and reduce the charging capacity and duration of the device
and batteries
•
Do not touch the battery with metallic objects since a connection
between the + and – terminals could be created and cause temporal
or permanent damage to the battery
•
Never use damaged batteries or chargers
Attention: Follow all warnings and safety rules when using the device
in restricted areas
Turn off the device where it is prohibited. Follow the regulations that
limit the use of mobile devices in specific areas Do not use the device
near other electronic devices. Most electronic devices use radiofrequency
signals The device could interfere with them
Do not use the device next to a pacemaker!
Avoid using the device at a distance less than 15cm from a pacemaker,
since it could interfere with its correct functioning If you nevertheless have
to use the device, keep it at least at 15cm distance from the pacemaker
To minimize the interference with the pacemaker, use the device at the
opposite side of the body Do not use the device in hospitals or next to
medical devices that can be influenced by its radiofrequencies
If you use a medical device, contact its producer to make sure it works
properly in presence of radiofrequencies In case of hearing aids, contact
its producer for information on the used radiofrequencies Some hearing
aids could interfere with the radiofrequencies of the device Contact the
producer to make sure it can be used in presence of cell phones
