    SAFETY WARNINGS: • Petite Clip should not be exposed to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. • Petite Clip should not be exposed to direct heat sources such as candle, fireplace, radiator, heat register, stove or other appliances that emit heat. The unit should not be left in direct sunlight.

  • Page 6 Principal of Operation BABYSENSE Petite Clip constantly monitors baby’s movements and activates a gentle vibrating stimulation if no tummy movement is detected at all for a period of 15 seconds. In some cases, such tactile stimulation is enough to reassert baby’s movement, and in this case Petite Clip will revert to monitoring mode.
  • Page 7 Fitting your monitor Fitting to a Diaper: A properly fitted diaper is essential for the proper function of your Petite Clip. Fasten the diaper with the two stretchy tabs (Fig. B). The thin flap of material at the top of the diaper must be folded over the fastened tabs (Fig.C).
  • Page 8 Fig E Fig F Fitting on baby’s clothing (over the diaper): Set the device to sensitive mode as described in "Sensitive Mode" section below. Petite Clip Petite Clip can also be used clipped onto the waistband of elasticated pants and on a thin layer of clothing separating the sensor from the skin, as long as the movement sensor is snugly fitted in the baby's tummy area.
  • Page 9: Understanding The Indicator Light

    IMPORTANT: Use the monitor only when baby is in a motionless area. Do not use in car seat, stroller, swing or mobile carrier while they are moving, as their motion negates the functionality of the monitor. IMPORTANT: Whenever baby is put to sleep make sure the device is properly fitted and the green Movement Indicator Light is blinking.
  • Page 10 Note: when turning on the unit, all indicator lights are turned on in an automated sequence and an audible signal is heard. • When turning on the unit, while the battery is low, 10 clicks will sound indicating that the battery needs to be replaced.
  • Page 11 In order to switch back the device to the regular mode, turn the device OFF and back ON. NOTE: After turning sensitive mode on, make sure the green Movement Indicator Light is blinking. Ticking mode Re-pressing the power button briefly while the device is already ON, will add an audible TICK with every blink of the green Movement Indicator Light.
  • Page 12 Daily Performance Test Checking the proper performance of the device: • Test the proper operation of the device by pressing briefly the ON / OFF button. All indicator lights should momentarily turn on, accompanied by an audible signal. • Make gentle sliding movements with your finger over the monitor’s sensor pad to simulate movement.
