Pre-Installation

Before the ROME equipment has arrived at the facility, technicians can prepare for the installation using the
ROME pre-installation kit. There is one pre-installation kit per ROME Chassis. Each kit includes two ROME slider
mounting kits to install on the rack, ROME positioning rulers and a clearance/level testing tool (Jig) to ensure
proper assembly.

Parts List

2 Slider Mounting Units:
Note: - Each slider mounting unit is comprised of a
rear bracket, front bracket, stiffener, slider,
6 socket head cap screws.
- Each mounting unit comes pre-assembled,
but with loose screws to allow for adjustment.
- Each slider mounting unit can be adjusted
for depths between 35.22 and 42.52 inches
(894.5-1080mm).
- Two people are required to mount slider. Each
slider assembly weighs 21 lbs (add metric weight)
4 ROME Positioning Rulers (2 each for WECO and EIA racks):
1 Clearance/Level Testing Tool (Jig):
