MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
No regular maintenance is required for the
›
stove except cleaning.
Keep exterior surfaces clean.
›
Air flow must be unobstructed. Keep controls,
›
burner, and circulating air passages clean.
Signs of possible blockage include: Gas
odour, popping noises and smokey flame.
Spiders and insects can nest in burner orific-
›
es. This condition can damage the stove and
render it unsafe to use. Clean burner holes by
using a heavy-duty pipe cleaner. Compressed
air may help clear away small particles.
Carbon deposits may create a fire hazard.
›
Clean burner with warm soapy water if any
carbon deposits develop.
Keep stove area clear and free from
›
combustible materials, gasoline and other
flammable vapors and liquids.
Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and
›
ventilation air on the body of the appliance
and the area below the burners.
A good flame should be blue with minimal
›
yellow tip. Some yellow tips on flames are
acceptable as long as no carbon or soot
deposits appear.
Wipe clean with soft cloth and mild dish
›
detergent. Do not use abrasive. (Fig. 27)
