Using the GUIDE Plus+®
electronic programme guide
This chapter is only applicable if the EPG Type
Select setting made in the Setup Navigator (or
the Initial Setup menu) is set to GUIDE Plus+.

The GUIDE Plus+ system

The GUIDE Plus+® system* is a free,
interactive on-screen television

programming guide.
programme listings for all major channels,
one-touch recording, searching by genre,
recommendations according to your profile
and more. The GUIDE Plus+ system is a
convenient way to find out what's on right
now or during the coming week, by channel
or by genre. The GUIDE Plus+ system also
allows you to automatically set your viewing
and recording selections quickly and easily.
In order to receive the correct TV listings
information for your country or region you
need to set up the GUIDE Plus+ system and
'download' the TV listings information. If you
haven't already done this, please turn to
Setting up the GUIDE Plus+® system on
page 33 before proceeding.

Using the GUIDE Plus+
system
All the various features and areas are colour-
coded for ease of navigation. All screens
(with the exception of some setup screens)
have the following common elements:

watching the current programme while

using the GUIDE Plus+ system.

2 Information panels – Display
programme promotions or instructions
on the GUIDE Plus+ system.
3 Action bar – Colour-coded Action
buttons change function depending on
the area.
4 Information box – Shows short
programme descriptions or help menus.
