Note
With Video CDs, Random play is not possible during playback
with the menu displayed (PBC playback). To perform Random
play, start playback without displaying a menu (refer to page 25),
and press RANDOM button.
Random play of programmed chapters/tracks is not possible.
In the case of DVDs, random playback may not be possible with
some discs.
Repeat playback of random playback is not possible.

On DVDs....
Random playback of chapters
within one title
Press RANDOM button once, then press
ENTER button.
• "RANDOM CHP" will appear on the screen, and chapters within
the title will be played back in a random order.
Random playback of titles
Press RANDOM button twice, then press
ENTER button.
• "RANDOM TITLE" will appear on the screen, and titles will be
played back in a random order.
On CDs, Video CDs....
Press RANDOM button.
¶ "RANDOM" will appear on the screen, and random playback
will begin.
During Random play:
¶ Press ¢ button, and the player's next song or scene starts
playing.
¶ Press 4 button, and playback of the current song or scene
starts again from the beginning.
Stopping Random play
Press CLEAR button.
¶ This returns you to normal playback of chapters/tracks in order
from the chapter/track currently playing.
