instrument
panel. The
cigar lighter has a manually reset type circuit breaker
mounted directly
on the back
of
the
lighter
behind the
instrument
panel.

MAP LIGHT
(
OPT
).
A
map
light
may be mounted
on
the bottom
of
the
pilot'
s
contr ol
wheel
.
The light
illuminates
the
lower
portion of the
cabin
just
forward
of
t he
-pilot
and is
helpful
when
checking
maps
and
other
flight
data
during
night
operations.
To
operate the
light,
firs
t turn
on
the
"NAV
LIGHTS"
switch,
then adj ust the map
light's
intensity
with
the knurled rheostat
knob
l
ocated
at
the
bottom of
t
he
control
wheel.
FLASH
I
NG BEACO
N
(OPT)
.
The
flashing beacon
should
not
be
used
when flying
through
clouds or
overcast; the
flashing
light
r
eflected
from water
droplets
or
particles
in
the atmosphere,
particularly
at
night,
ca
n
produce
vertigo
and
loss of
or
ientation.
CABIN HEATI
N
G AND VENTILATING SYSTEM.
The
te mperatur
e
and volume of airflow
into the cabin can be
r
egulated•
to
any
degr
ee
desir
ed by manipulat ion
of the push
-
pull "CABIN
HEAT" and
"CABIN
AIR" knobs.
Heated
fr
esh air
and
outside air are
blended
in a
cabin manifold just
aft
of
the firewall
by
adjus
tment
of
the heat
and air
control
s;
this air
is
then
vented
into the
cabin fr
om
outlets
in
the
cabin
manifol
d near the
pilot's
and
passenger's
fee
t. Windshield defrost
air is
also
supplied
by
a
duct
leading
from
the
manifold.
A
separate adjustable ventilator near
each upper corne
r
of t
he
wi
nd-
s hield
suppli
es
additional
out
side
air
to
the pilot
and
passenger.

.
To
set parking brake,
pull
out on
the parking
brake
knob,
apply
a
nd
r
el
ease
t.o
e
pressure
to
the pedals,
and
then
r el
ease
t
he
parking brake
knob. To
rel
ease the
parking brake, apply and release toe p
r
essu
r
e
on
the
pedals
while
checking
to
see
that the parking
brake
knob is
full
in.
