DVB is the short-form for Digital Video Broadcasting. DVB-C indicates
the mode of transmission (C = Cable).
This ratio indicates the signal-to-noise ratio of the digital signal.
Reception is generally not possible at EB/NO values under 5 dB.
is the short-form for "Forward Error Correction". The FEC error rate is
the same as the Viterbi rate.
The PID number (Packet Identification) is an identification number for
video and audio signals within a digital data stream. The receiver
establishes a unique assignment of the video and audio data trans-
mission using this number.
