4-1-43 EI SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
"0201" or "0202" FUEL INJECTOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
LCD (DISPLAY) INDICATION
DETECTED CONDITION
Refer to page 47 [4-1-30]
INSPECTION
Step 1
1) Remove the fuel tank and frame cover.
2) Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.
3) Check the injector couplers NO.1
for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then measure the injector resistance.
4) Disconnect the injector couplers NO.1
NO.2 and measure the resistance between
terminals.
Injector resistance
Tester knob indication : Resistance (
5) If OK, then check the continuity between injector
terminals and ground.
Injector continuity
Tester knob indication : Resistance (
Are the resistance and continuity OK?
YES
Go to Step 2
Replace the Injector with a new
NO
one.

Injector circuit open or short.
