If any of the following conditions occurs, this indicates a
malfunction of the airbags or seat belt pretensioners. Contact
your Lexus dealer as soon as possible.
D The light does not come on when the ignition key is turned
to the "ON" position or remains on for more than 6 seconds
or flashes.
D The light comes on or starts flashing while driving.
If the light stays on, it indicates that the SRS driver and front
passenger
airbags
and/or
front
classification system, "AIRBAG ON" indicator light and
"AIRBAG OFF" indicator light fail. If the light flashes, the SRS
side and curtain shield airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners
have a problem.
The SRS warning light and "AIRBAG OFF" indicator light will
be illuminated if there is a malfunction in the front passenger
occupant classification system.
GAUGES, METERS AND SERVICE REMINDER INDICATORS
(e) Traction Battery Warning Light
This light comes on in the following cases:
a. The
transmission is left in the "N" position.
If you put the transmission in the "P" position and the light goes
off, the system is working properly.
b. The traction battery is discharged.

If the traction battery is discharged and the warning light comes
on along with the "READY" light, stop your vehicle in a safe
place and contact your Lexus dealer.
(f) Auxiliary Battery Discharge Warning Light
This light warns that the auxiliary battery charging system is
malfunctioning.
If it comes on while you are driving, there is a problem
somewhere in the charging system.
The hybrid system will continue to operate, however, until the
auxiliary battery is discharged. Turn off the air conditioning,
blower, radio, etc., and drive directly to the nearest Lexus
dealer or repair shop.
