    Floor Mat Installation Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet. Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets. Turn the upper knob of each retaining hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in place.

    Hybrid System Your vehicle is a hybrid vehicle. It has characteristics different from conventional vehicles. Be sure you are closely familiar with the characteristics of your vehicle, and operate it with care. The hybrid system combines the use of a gasoline engine and an electric motor (traction motor) according to driving conditions, improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions.

    Power (Ignition) Switch Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person starts the hybrid system or changes power switch modes. ■ Starting the hybrid system Check that the parking brake is set. Check that the shift lever is in P. Firmly depress the brake pedal.

    ■ If your vehicle has to be stopped in an emergency Only in an emergency, such as if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in the normal way, stop the vehicle using the following procedure: Steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet and firmly depress it. Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.

Press the switch to change the driving mode to normal mode when Eco drive mode or sport mode is selected.

Each time the switch is pressed, the driving mode changes between normal mode and customized mode. When customized mode is selected, the “CUSTOMIZE” indicator will be illuminated.

    Eco drive mode Helps the driver accelerate in an eco-friendly manner and improve fuel economy through moderate throttle characteristics and by controlling the operation of the air conditioning system (heating/cooling).     Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Full-speed Range In vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the vehicle automatically accelerates, decelerates and stops to match the speed changes of the preceding vehicle even if the accelerator pedal is not depressed. In constant speed control mode, the vehicle runs at a fixed speed.
