IMPORTANT: Ensure that correct sheave is
used based on deck height setup:
• Low (38 – 102 mm or 1.5 – 4")
position: Use top sheave.
• High (64 – 127 mm or 2.5 – 5")
position: Use middle sheave.
1. Use when deck is in low setting.
2. Use when deck is in high setting.

6. Reinstall transmission belt.
7. Adjust spring to length of 29.8 – 30.5 cm
(11.75 – 12") in 95.3 mm (3.75")/70 mm
(2.75") deck height of cut.
8. Verify that there are no twists in belts
and that they are routed correctly.
9. Replace belt guards and close belt
access panel.

Measure PTO idler spring length
at outer ends of spring. Adjust to
29.8 – 30.5 cm (11.75 – 12") in
95.3 mm (3.75")/70 mm (2.75")
deck height of cut.

Mower Drive Belt Replacement
(Figure 27)
1. Remove PTO mower belt from jackshaft.
2. Relieve spring tension and remove
spring from bracket.
3. Remove mower drive belt.
4. Install new mower drive belt.
5. Verify that there are no twists in belts
and that they are routed correctly.
6. Reinstall spring to bracket.
7. Adjust spring to length of 30.5 – 31.8 cm
(12 – 12.5").
8. Reinstall PTO belt (see PTO Mower Belt
Replacement on page 28).
Transmission Belt Replacement
(Figure 28)
1. Pull back tension bracket and remove
transmission belt.
2. Install new transmission belt.
