N.B. If the filter basket cover, the filter door and the water reservoir cover are not properly
closed a safety interlock system will prevent operation. If you try and turn the unit on when
parts are not in place, the unit will beep continuously until the missing parts are installed
and the water reservoir cover filter is closed.

Selecting 1-4 Cups

If you are only brewing 1-4 cups and have only added sufficient water and coffee for this
amount select the '1-4 CUPS' button. This function brews the coffee at a slower rate to
extract maximum flavour from the coffee for a more rounded flavour in just 1-4 cups.
Once the '1-4 CUPS' button is selected an orange light will illuminate.

Preparing the Carafe

n Remove the lid of the carafe by lifting from the carafe handle.
n For best results, pre warm the carafe by rinsing it out with hot water. This will help to
keep the coffee hotter for longer.

n Replace the carafe in its position on the warming plate.
