Introduction 3. Product details ▶ The main body of guideo™ is the core module which recognises the road lines, evaluates the situation and issues appropriate alerts. The names of the details of main body are shown in the figure below.

Functions 1. Video Box Recording of images and vehicle information guideo™ automatically detects abrupt acceleration changes and records the images 14 seconds before and 6 seconds after the incident. At the same time, it records the 3-dimensional acceleration data of vehicle and the accident time.

Place guideo™ on a flat surface, such as a desk, before connecting it to the computer. While downloading the data, make sure that guideo™ is stationary. Even when connected to the PC, guideo™ will record images and overwrite old data if its is knocked or moved suddenly.
No warning is issued, for example, immediately after passing a junction. The Lane Alert On/Off button enables or disables this feature. Lane Alert Warning guideo™ gives a sound signal and a message to help drivers understand and avoid dangerous situations. Customisable for driving habits...
Functions 3. Beep&Watch What is Beep&Watch? Beep&Watch informs the driver of any movement in front of the vehicle, such as the vehicle in front starting while waiting at a traffic signal or stopped in a traffic jam. The signal should not be interpreted as an invitation to drive the vehicle forward.
Functions 4. Optilane/ 5. Driving Time What is Optilane Assistance? The Optilane Assistant tracks the lateral position of the vehicle within a lane and helps drivers to keep safely within their lane. The driver is notified if the vehicle strays to the left or right, or keeps to the centre line for five seconds.

Remote Control 2. Power and default mode Power On/Off This button is used to turn the power on or off. If pressed while the system is operating, the power turns off and all the functions including Video Box shut down. Video is not recorded when the power is off.

Angle adjustment mode: Angle adjustment mode helps you install guideo™ in its exact position. Adjust guideo™ until the LED display shows “00:00.” The bigger the number, the more guideo™ is out of position. The first two digits indicate Y-axis acceleration values and last two digits indicate Z-axis acceleration values.
If you begin to feel sleepy during a long drive, you can select this mode. When pressed, guideo™ plays the message “Loud warning mode is on”, and the sound volume is set to maximum level. In this mode, the warning sound is automatically set to “Pang~ Pang.”...
Remote Control 5. Video Box Video Box sensitivity This button helps you to adjust the sensitivity of impact for video recording. If the video records too often, press “V+” to increase the impact threshold for video recording. Press “V-” to decrease the impact threshold and record more often.
Remote Control 6. Lane Alert settings Left warning point This button is used to set the left alert timing of the lane alert function. When this button is pressed, the LED indicates “|‾ ‾|”, and the left alert timing is set to the current lateral position of the vehicle relative to the left line.
Remote Control 7. Function activation Lane alert ON/OFF The Lane alert feature can be temporarily disabled with this button, e.g. in the event of bad weather when the device can’t see the road clearly. If you hear “Lane alert system is stopping” after pressing this button down, the Lane alert system feature is disabled.
Language This button is used to change between 3 languages, including English. The other 2 languages can be selected on a PC by the guideo™ manager program. ▶guideo™ is so designed that if you cross lines again while the warning message is still being given, the second warning message is deleted. ▶guideo™ is so designed that if the road is narrow, the warning sound comes later for the driver's convenience.

▶Check how the warning timing is set. If set to earlier modes, the driver may feel that the warning is too fast or occurs without any line being crossed. ▶In case of bad weather, roads under construction or roads where lines have been erased, guideo™ may not recognize the road lines appropriately.
