defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use

The scale batteries are almost
flat.
Scale zero setting is incorrect.
Self test.

Solution
Replace the batteries of scale.
Wait until the scale switches itself off.
Now correctly activate scale, wait for
"0.0 lb" to appear and repeat measure-
ment.
Place scale on an even, hard surface and
wait for "0.0 lb" to appear.
