• Do not use any aggressive solvents, cleaning agents, detergents or any other strong chemicals
to clean the device.
• Never immerse and or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter
the scale and cause damage.
• Do not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
• Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with
local regulations.
• Never attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and impair
the functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service. Please
see warranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the battery and
replace it if necessary.
• Changes or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.

Cleaning and maintaining

To keep your scale in the best condition and protect the unit from damage follow the directions below:
The scale should occasionally be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. The unit
is not waterproof, do not immerse the unit in water and do not spill water over the unit. If your scale accidentally
gets wet immediately clean off the water. Store the unit in a safe and dry location. Do not expose the unit to
direct sunlight, extreme hot or cold temperatures or humidity. Thoroughly dry any moisture off the unit before
storing. Store the unit safely out of the reach of children. Do not subject the unit to strong shocks, such as
dropping the unit on the floor. Always use the unit following the instructions provided in this manual.

Disposal

NOTICE:
• Batteries should be disposed of separately from household waste. Always dispose of batteries as
per your local regulations. Again, do not dispose of batteries with normal household waste.
• Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with
local regulations. If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for
waste disposal.

Correction of errors
Weigh only the maximum permissible
weight.
Change the battery.
Battery is empty, battery was inserted incor-
rectly or the scale is broken.
Wait until scale switches off automatically.
Repeat measurement.
Place the scale on level flooring (no carpet).
Don't move during weighing.
